Our first mission is to expand awareness & involvement in the Local MN Music Scene. We accomplish this by providing free publicity to Bands/Musicians & giving Local Music Fans one central source for all their Local Music needs. The Music Fans section of our website aims at featuring music related information that is diverse, factual & up to date. We've filled this section up with Bands/Musicians, Venues, Live Music Shows, Reveiews & Interviews, Music Links & more!
Our second mission is to help give Bands/Musicians & the MN Music Industry an easy way to connect. Our Local Music Industry section is geared towards Local Artists & is mostly a directory of resources such as Labels/Studios, Management, Booking, Venues, Touring Support, Merchandising, Equipment Supply & Repair, etc. We're also thinking up ideas such as info, reviews or links to/about New/Hot Gear & Tech Trends, possibly a classifieds section for Open Jam Spaces & Musicians looking for Musicians, maybe some Music Business Tips & Tricks, as well as Music Education & Music Organizations links.
The founder & president, Lora, possesses an A.A.S. Music Business Audio Production & is a self-taught graphic designer/webmaster. Her love of music & her gift for creating visual art caused her to fuse the two into one, resulting in this website. In college she found the niche of Music Publicity & Marketing fascinating. In this area she can let her visually creative talents help those who possess musically creative talents. She's done graphic/web design work for Artists such as MdubP, Fretslinger, Joey Dox, Sponge Of Grunge & Voice Of Trepidation. She's also done work for a few MN Music Industry Businesses such as Poetic Talent Management Group, Minnesota Music Hour, Trailerpark Entertainment & G/K Productions.
Scott, Lora's brother, joined the team bringing with him 5 plus years of "real music business" experience. He played guitar in various bands as a teenager & repaired instruments just out of highschool. He also worked for 5 years as a Sound Technician at StonePhish Productions & has done live sound for Artists such as The Aultimate Ozzy, Rare Medium, Kung Foo Hippies, Fetish & Go West.
